Pete Warner

First to tell you a little about myself. My name is Pete Warner and I'm a 35 yr old from Torrington ,Ct. I grew up in Watertown,Ct on a dairy farm until i was 13 yrs old.Thats when we made the big move to Maynard,Arkansas population 356 "SALUTE"! Man, was that a big culture shock!!We lived there 'til i was a junior in high school then we moved back to Watertown,Ct. I lived in Florida for a spell, trying to go to collage for music and video business. But that didn't pan out so i found myself back in Connecticut, this time in Torrington.Thats where I've been ever since! Thats where i got my first chance to sing for real!!
I started singing and writing music with my cousins husband Bob Parsons! We accumulated quite a few original songs, along with a number of cover tunes!!Bob even helped me pick out my first acoustic guitar(a white 6 string fender)! He taught me some chords and few little tricks and i was off and running! Then I meet some local guys that were trying to start a Rock/Metal band but couldn't seem to find a singer, so i jumped at the chance to front my first real band! With Vinnie Smedick on Drums, Mark Linnick on Guitar, John(Juan)Balesky on bass and me on Vocals we formed "CRITICAL CONDITION"!! It was great fun!I had a blast playing with those guys!We later added Del Knox to the group to play guitar and it became even better!!
I meet Sue Maher around that time and in '93' we had a beautiful daughter. We named her Amber Leigh Warner!!
After the end of Critical Condition , i auditioned for the original band 'Jesus Wept'. But i guess i didn't impress them to much 'cuz  I didn't get the gig.Bummer!! But time prevailed, and they called me to replace their singer, who wasn't working out! Along with their new drummer Tim Hannon, Ross Collins on guitar and Chris Serveri on bass, we wrote and Rocked out tons of tunes!!! We were Hot and could have gone far! But after a year or so of writing, jamming & recording some really cool music,we disbanded! But Chris, Tim & I never lost touch or the desire to play together again!
So I wasn't what you call a responsible person at that time so me and sue broke up. I became what is known as a weekend dad!! When i thought i was ready and responsible enough to find someone to settle down with, I meet Marlene Oettle. We were real happy for years and we got married in '99' and had a handsome son, Brady Austin Warner in 2000!!! With no band i slowly became a 'Karaoke King'!! I needed the real thing so along with Rob Corey on guitar, me,Chris and Tim formed the untouchable cover band known as 'Reality Kick'!!! We've been playing together ever since!!!
I've been doing the normal day job thing to pay the bills and whatever but its the music that has me! I've been doing a little studio singing for a Producer friend of mine, Bobbi "FunkeeBoy" Tammaro. It's been allot of fun trying to sing a bunch of different styles and watching how its done in the studio! Its also been a real challenge learning to sing harmony!
I've done session work on a kids song called 'Willie B' a Folk song called 'Dreams, Schemes and Money' a song for Relay for Life and a pop song called 'Isolated Groove Thing'. But the most important one was for a  little girl named 'Cortney Dickson' who was fighting cancer and a rare blood disease. Bobbi Tammaro wrote a beautiful song for her called 'Believe' and asked some local singers to sing on it and to lend their support! The song came out wonderful and we raised quite a good amount of money for her and her treatment.Unfortunately and sadly,Cortney lost her battle to cancer and past away.I will always remember her face when she first heard her song!
On another sad note, me and Marlene called it quits and got a divorce. It was hard but we both weren't happy and i couldn't see myself living like that anymore. I was living the life of a single father again, this time with 2 children. But as fate would have it, Sue (ambers mom) would go through a divorce also and we both seemed to enjoy each others company again. So in those trying times we rekindled are relationship and are now together again!!
Well, thats about it for now. Hope this tells ya a little about me! Please feel free to e-mail me, and hope you can come check out 'Reality Kick'!!!catch ya later!!
